It sets Capital University apart, too, because we specialize in guiding professionals to their first — or second — degree and helping them take the next step on their career path. It’s why so many adult students like you come to Capital to resume their education. At Capital, you’ll find the faculty, staff, resources and alumni ready to help you do more — more conveniently and more efficiently — as you pursue your educational and career goals.

Growing your career and your network
At Capital, you’ll join adult learners like yourself — career professionals seeking to complete an undergraduate degree, licensure, certification, or additional coursework in order to grow their career opportunities. Like your classmates, you’ll be challenged to expand your ways of thinking, grow your problem-solving skills and learn with classmates from diverse backgrounds and experiences. And like many of your classmates who balance work, school and life, you’ll increase your love of learning. And Capital’s faculty and staff will be there to help you do just that. They know what it means to pursue serious academic commitments in and outside the classroom — and they’ll be there to support you throughout your Capital journey.
By coming to Capital, you’ll be joining a network of students, faculty, staff and graduates ready to provide insight and guidance from the first time you visit campus to the day you join the ranks of our alumni.
Get credit where credit is due
When you come to Capital, you bring previous knowledge and life experiences gained from earlier college study and insight you’ve acquired as a working professional. That time in school and on the job may translate into credit you can apply toward your degree. As a student, you’ll be assigned a personal advisor to help you determine how many credits you have based on your previous college coursework or career experiences. Your advisor can help with questions about majors and the application process. And financial aid counselors can help answer questions about financial aid opportunities.
Find your balance
Being a student or spouse or parent or career professional isn’t easy. And being two or three of them at once can seem overwhelming at times. Through our flexible mix of evening classes, online offerings and off-campus training, you’ll be able to craft a curriculum that lets you balance the many interests competing for your time.
Several adult and graduate scholarships are available.
